Audiobook
Betty senses darkness and decay in the world around her, but not in Lloyd. Though he doesn't understand the source and depth of her feelings, Lloyd cares for Betty and hopes to protect and nurture her. Together, this young couple just might find a path to a rosy future, if the world outside will allow for that. The story is set in what is now Oklahoma but was then (1906) referred to as "Indian Territory". Another play, "Green Grow the Lilacs", also by Lynn Riggs, was the basis for "Oklahoma!" by Rodgers and Hammerstein. - Summary by Brian Fullen Big Lake Cast List: Betty: ShrimpPhish Lloyd: ToddHW Butch: JosephS Elly: Jacqueline Tyler Sheriff: Greg Giordano Joe: Jon Hunter Plank: Inkell Miss Meredith: Agnes Robert Behr Bud Bickel: Brian Fullen The Davis Boy: Brian Fullen Country-School Boys and Girls: Jessie Percival, Rapunzelina, Lia Lallo, Penny Carrington, ShrimpPhish, Winterberry Stage Directions: Brian Fullen
