The Bastables are at it again! The six children from The Story of the Treasure Seekers and The Wouldbegoods return to wreak havoc again. The story starts with Albert-Next-Door’s Uncle’s wedding to the “Lady” who he was reunited with in the final chapter of The Wouldbegoods, and H.O.’s attempt to smuggle himself along on their honeymoon. It all goes downhill from there. Once again, the children do their best to do good works, but continually find themselves in hot water of one kind or another. Cautions: Chapter 2 and 3 contain instances of the offensive “n” word and there is stereotyping of Chinese people in Chapter 4. - Summary by Winnifred Assmann
