St. Thomas's Treatise on the Commandments is plain, short, practical, and full of instruction. There is a simplicity of strength about it which is to me very attractive. You will see for yourselves how wonderfully the Saint illustrates each point from the Scriptures of God. As with all his writings, so here, the manner is worthy of the words; and the words, so far as man's words can be, are worthy of the truths which they enshrine and unfold.
I have added a prayer at the end of each chapter, because the way of the commandments is the way of everlasting life; and we can only go along the road of life by grace; and they who pray find the grace that they need. - Summary by Translator
